I just wanted to write this letter to thank our garbage man, who takes a small amount of time every week to do something special for our daughter.
We live on a street off Valleyview Drive and ever since my daughter turned one she has been fascinated with the garbage truck, as we can hear it coming up our street.
Every time we hear it, we run to the window and sit and watch the truck do its work. He sees her sitting in the window watching. The last few weeks she has been practising her waving.
Every week now this man slows down and sometimes even stops, rolls down his window and waves to our daughter, always waiting for her to wave back. I think it is the highlight of our daughter’s week.
