Young entrepreneurs invited to compete for $100,000

Following in the footsteps of Mike Miltimore

Last year Mike Miltimore and his handcrafted Riversong guitars placed second in the BDC Young Entrepreneur Award. Now other local entrepreneurs have a chance to win $100,000.

The Business Development Band of Canada is accepting applications for the award’s 2013 edition.

In order to win the grand prize, business owners aged 18 to 25 must create a short video describing a turning pointing their company has taken and the solution that will help them achieve future growth.

This video must be professionally produced, have good images and sound quality, and be memorable. All entries must describe a project that has yet to be implemented.

Applications must be submitted to www.bdcyoungentrepreneuraward.ca no later than noon eastern standard time on April 2. More information about the contest can be found on the website.

The prize for second place is $25,000 in consultation services.
