A 13-year-old Kamloops boy was to have surgery Friday night for a broken leg after he was hit by a city transit bus while crossing Westsyde Road near McArthur Avenue on Friday afternoon.
He was not in a marked crosswalk, Kamloops RCMP said.
"Preliminary reports indicate the youth entered the roadway without observing the bus," Sgt. Edward Preto said.
