PATRICIA MANN
landscape and travel photographer
THE BEGINNINGS
When I was younger I found myself taking pictures of everyone and everything with my little powershot camera. It wasn't until I was a little older when I realized my personal picture portfolios could lead to something more. Shortly after this, my fiancé bought me a Canon DSLR camera and at that point I was inspired to take what I love and share it with the world! Encouraged by my family, close friends and fiancé, I launched a website and began selling my art online. With Six years behind me, and each new day forward, I've gained more knowledge, experience and confidence, which has allowed me to really put myself out there and get noticed.
DAY SHIFT
I am currently working towards my masters in Environmental Sciences at TRU. Being a landscape photographer you're outdoors, trekking through the wild and you really start to notice and appreciate the flora and fauna around you.
I started buying guidebooks on birds and plant species and teaching myself about the areas I was hiking.
This curiosity lead me to go back to school to learn more about the nature I photograph.
FIVE YEARS FROM NOW
You can't control everything in life, and, sometimes, things don't pan out the way you thought they would, but wherever I am five years from now I hope I still have my camera, my old hiking boots and a trail to follow.
BRIGHT LIGHTS
I love social media, so, you can follow me over at Instagram (@tishpics), Twitter (@PatriciasPhoto), Pinterest (Patricia's Photography) and Flickr. My online store is at patriciasphotography.ca.
