Interior Health looks to replace doctor leaving Chase

Interior Health is looking for a third physician to fill the gap in Chase as Dr. Sandeep Sharma prepares to leave his practice effective May 31.

Two doctors will remain in Chase, with Dr. Gursharan Gill and Dr. Cornel Barnard seeing patients at Chase Medical Clinic and providing support to the Chase Health Centre ER.

Meanwhile, Interior Health has stepped up efforts to recruit a third doctor for the community, and is hoping find someone in a few months. The agency is also seeking locum coverage.
