    BIG-SCREEN BREW

Attend the Kamloops Film Festival, then drink its beer at the Noble Pig
    MURRAY MITCHELL/THE DAILY NEWS

    Here's to the film festival
Maeghan Summers, general manager at The Noble Pig, holds a glass of Film Festival Beer, released in time for the Kamloops Film Festival.

We're beginning to think there's no limit to the creative mind of The Noble Pig's brewmaster, David Beardsell.

Half the city was all a quiver earlier this week with news of the limited edition Coffee Brown Ale he created with Nate Johnson of Red Beard Roasters. Now he has us drooling over his Kamloops Film Festival Beer.

The Munich-style brew was unveiled Thursday at the Victoria Street pub, the same day the film festival kicked off its 10-day run across the street at the Paramount Theatre.

The beer is malty and rich in texture with a distinct German/Czech heritage.

But don't expect it to last long; it was produced in a limited batch, as was the Coffee Brown Ale.

By the way, if you're lucky enough to score one of the last pints of the coffee ale, congratulations! Now save a sip for us, will you?

GETTING THERE: Find The Noble Pig Brewhouse at 650 Victoria St. Find Red Beard Roasters at 449 Tranquille Rd. in the old Cowboy Coffee location.
