The driver of a pickup truck was injured at about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday when the vehicle crashed head-on with a school bus on China Road near Chase, superintendent of schools Terry Sullivan said.
The school bus had finished its route, so there were no students on board, he added.
Sullivan did not know the extent of the pickup driver's injuries. Emergency personnel transported a patient to hospital by air.
The bus and the truck are no longer drivable after the crash, he said.
