There was a time that we could rely on mail’s estimated time of arrival. Mail from Europe was a four- to seven-day delivery. Now, with luck, it takes nine to 10 days! At the moment, I’m waiting for a book mailed to me 15 days ago from Holland. It is most likely floating down the Fraser back to Vancouver!
I wonder which “snivel servant” came up with this bright idea to have local mail sorted in Vancouver? It is ludicrous the way our mail is handled! By the way, in the past when the mail was sorted here, I mailed a letter to Victoria in the little post office in London Drugs and it was delivered on the second day!
