WHO'S WHO
Jarrett Boyetchko, Ej Rumley, Sean Schneider and Jordan McDougall.
THE BEGINNINGS
Our band was originally intended as a side project in 2010 by Jarrett Boyetchko. After working on a number of tracks, Jarrett decided to take the next step in creating a band. He talked to long-time friend, Ej Rumley. Ej showed interest right away by joining on lead guitar and invited friend Sean Schneider.
Sean played bass for the band, but eventually moved to drums and the group practised as a trio.
Once the band saw more potential as a full-time group, we acquired high school friend Jordan McDougall on bass guitar.
We played our first show in September 2011 at Pogue Mahone Pub. Since then, The Fineprint has played various venues across town, filling up Bailey's Pub and playing on Canada Day at Riverside Park to a good-sized crowd.
DAY SHIFT
When not playing music, we work full-time jobs to support our musical needs. Jarrett is a cellphone salesperson and graphic designer, Ej is a computer programmer, Sean works administration at an insurance company and Jordan is a brewmaster. The band maintains a close friendship. Going for beers, playing video games, and talking music can be a typical hang out for The Fineprint.
5 YEARS FROM NOW
The band plans on releasing an EP in the very near future, which will be available online and/or in physical form. We also want to play throughout B.C. and eventually, throughout Canada, hoping to establish ourselves in the Canadian rock scene.
BRIGHT LIGHTS
You can hear us on multimedia sites, such as Facebook, Soundcloud, BandCamp or Reverbnation. The band's first and most recent single, City Lights, can be requested on 98.3 CIFM and was also featured on Subway Fresh Tracks.
UPDATE: Watch The Fineprint live on stage Saturday (March 16) at the Dirty Jersey. Details.
