Food is on the agenda, not just the menu, at The Smorgasbord Deli on March 28.
The Kamloops chapter of the Council of Canadians hosts a potluck dinner and a series of speakers on the subject of urban farming, starting at 3 p.m.
Rose Soneff, a community nutritionist with Interior Health, and two interns, Jerique Arqueza and Pamela Tran, will give a presentation called Why City Farming?
Participants will break for supper from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Starting at 6:30 p.m,, Maren Luciani, a planner with the City of Kamloops, will give a presentation on the Kamloops agriculture area plan.
The event is free and open to the public. The deli is located at 225 Seventh Ave.
