Thompson Rivers University has found replacements for two of the three deans that resigned last term.
Donna Murnaghan has been appointed dean for TRU’s School of Nursing after serving as chair of Prince Edwards Island’s lone health authority.
The PhD is also a nursing educator whose career spans nearly 40 years in clinical, faculty and senior administrative roles, most recently with the University of Prince Edward Island.
She replaces Barbara Paterson, a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee winner and one of the Women's Executive Network 100 Canada's Most Powerful Women in 2013 who resigned after three years as dean.
And taking the helm of the Faculty of Arts in January 2014 is James Gaisford, University of Calgary Associate Dean of Students for the Faculty of Arts and professor of economics and social sciences.
The Faculty of Law is still without a permanent dean after the heated resignation last month of Chris Axworthy.
