Keiffer Johnson and Zach Morgan of the Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club were back on the water at the Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke, Que., Wednesday.
The pair raced in the C2 5,000 metres and just missed the podium, finishing in fourth place with a time of 24 minutes 44.610 seconds.
Morgan and Johnson again joined Gerissen Tang of Vancouver and Hank Chin Hung Wang of Maple Ridge, this time for the IC4 200m.
The team finished third in their heat with a time of 45.300 and failed to qualify for the final.
They lost to Team Saskatchewan in the consolation final, finishing in 47.740.
Thursday will be the final day of canoe-kayak competition.
Morgan and Johnson will be back in the two-man canoe for the C2 200m race and Brooke Mclean of Kamloops will join Yasmine Natasha Petra Semeniuk of Maple Ridge in the C2 200m women’s race.
Mclean also will compete in the IC4 200m race today, joining Semeniuk, Danielle Celine Caron of Nanaimo and Gemma Hansen of Prince George.
Kamloops throwers Adam Keenan (hammer throw) and Mason Kereszti (javelin) also will compete.
Team B.C. sits in fourth place in the medal standings with 71 behind Ontario (133), Quebec (97) and Alberta (74).
