The Kamloops Provincial Court trial of a bus passenger who posted footage of an altercation with the driver to YouTube continues Thursday.
Bradley Smith is charged with mischief and assault in the Dec. 4 incident in which another passenger who is the daughter of Smith’s landlady complained that the driver missed her stop.
The woman, in her 20s, yells at the driver that he missed her stop and for him to let her off the bus. The driver pulled over, but locked the doors for a brief time while he asked her to calm down.
Smith, 35, also demanded to be let off and told the driver he’d see him in court.
The one-minute video was titled Kamloops B.C. Transit Driver Kidnaps Passengers and shows shaky footage of Smith and the woman confronting the driver.
After the incident, the driver was suspended without pay during a management investigation. He was reinstated after some refresher training.
Smith’s trial started Friday. He represented himself and questioned the driver as well as showed the video.
The case continues Thursday.
