Weekend drivers through Glacier National Park were diverted for nine hours on Saturday after a serious vehicle accident caused grave injury to three people.
Shortly after 10 a.m., two pickup trucks travelling in opposite directions collided east of the Rogers Pass summit. The injured were all from Calgary, said RCMP.
Evidence and witness statements suggest that the eastbound truck lost control, crossed over to the westbound lanes and crashed into the westbound pickup.
Police say speed may have played a factor.
