Roger Sloan of Merritt finished tied for 45th at the Web.com Tour’s Cox Classic in Omaha on Sunday.
Sloan went 70-67-75-66 and earned $3,040 in his final event of the Web.com Tour season. Only the top 75 money earners move into the next four tournaments, called the Finals, where 50 PGA Tour cards are up for grabs.
Sloan, who finished 87th in earnings, has secured his Web.com Tour card for next season — he got that by virtue of finishing in the top-100. This was Sloan’s first season on the Web.com Tour.
Sloan, who was married at Tobiano earlier this month, tweeted Sunday: “For the first time in my life I’m coming home to see my wife! Money doesn’t (buy) this kind of happiness!”
Australian Bronson La’Cassie won in a playoff.
