A 45-year-old Campbell River man was arrested early Saturday morning after police were tipped that he was carrying drugs on a bus leaving Kamloops for Vancouver, RCMP said Wednesday.
He was found on board the bus and officers seized three kilograms of cocaine and two kilograms of heroin.
"We know the safety of our roads is impacted by the drugs that move through our community along the highways," Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said.
"Preventing this significant amount of cocaine and heroin from reaching the public is a tremendous success for B.C. and the RCMP traffic services."
