The Canadian Home Builders Association Central Interior announced the 2013 finalists of the ninth annual Keystone Awards on Thursday.
“We were thrilled to showcase the incredible work that is done in the Thompson and Nicola Valley region,” said Matt McCurrach, president of the CHBA Central Interior, the voice of professional residential building in the Central Interior region.
The entries are judged in numerous categories including best housing design, best public-private partnership, best single-family detached home, best multi-family development, best resort development and best residential renovation.
Each entry comes from the Central Interior with a majority within the Kamloops region.
The judging took place Wednesday by three industry professionals: John Friswell of CCI Renovations, David Pfeutzner of Acorn Homes and Robert Capar of maison d’etre design-build Inc.
The judges spent a day reviewing the entries and making their assessment, naming 27 silver winners that will go on to compete for gold on Sept. 28 during the Keystone awards gala at the Delta Sun Peaks.
Tickets for the gala are now available and can be purchased from the CHBA CI office 250-828-1844.
