Emergency crews from Merritt were at the scene of a rollover just south of the Nicola Valley community late Monday afternoon.
A firefighter with Merritt Fire and Rescue said crews were dispatched to the accident shortly after 4 p.m. He could not confirm reports that someone was trapped and an air ambulance was en route.
RCMP and an official with the B.C. Ambulance Service could not be reached for comment.
Few details are also available following a deadly collision between a U-Haul and tractor-trailer that closed the northbound lane of the Coquihalla Highway on Saturday.
Kamloops Fire and Rescue assistant chief Rob Chalmers said the accident occurred at 3:40 p.m., five kilometres south of the Lac Le Jeune turnoff.
Paramedics told firefighters one person was dead inside the U-Haul, said Chalmers.
As of late Monday afternoon, Saturday's death was the only one reported by emergency personnel in the region.
Meanwhile, a patient is still in critical condition at Royal Inland Hospital after a rollover on Barriere Lakes Road near Barriere on Friday night.
