The largest fundraiser of the year for abandoned pets returns to Pioneer Park on Sunday.
The 2013 Scotiabank & B.C. SPCA Paws for a Cause collects donations for homeless, abused, neglected and injured animals.
The main event is a walk for registered participants followed by a pancake breakfast, agility demonstration, a pet photo booth, a barbecue and doggy games.
The SPCA receives no provincial or federal government funding, relying almost entirely on private donations.
Registration for the walk is $25 and takes place at 9 a.m. in the park.
