Kamloops RCMP's special projects unit and Southeast District emergency response team put the 300 block of Seymour Street on lockdown Friday as they searched an apartment for firearms.
The operation happened at 8:20 p.m. at an upstairs residence at 352 Seymour St.
Police said the location is known to be an active drug house.
Four men and three women were in the apartment at the time. Six were detained and questioned by police at the scene prior to their release.
An adult female associated to the apartment was arrested and taken into custody.
The ERT members deployed a distraction device upon entering the apartment. Smoke from the device set off smoke detectors in the area but there was no fire.
There were no injuries during the operation.
The Kamloops special projects unit was still on scene late Friday searching the apartment.
RCMP said they will not be releasing further details on the operation until a news conference scheduled for Monday afternoon.
