Politicians and officials took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of a new kidney dialysis unit near Tranquille and Fortune on Friday morning.
The unit is designed to allow stable kidney patients access to hemodialysis services outside of Royal Inland Hospital. It opened to patients last month.
The facility includes an eight-station hemodialysis unit with consultation and exam rooms and education space, as well as a central nursing and reception area.
It serves around 16 patients a week.
