I have had the pleasure and privilege of volunteering out at the old Tranquille site this season.
I am so impressed with their vision for the future and dedication to building community by promoting partnerships with many local organizations.
I now have a greater respect and appreciation for “organic” produce and products.
Each time I take that gorgeous drive out there, I understand the confusion that some people express.
I thought I would just clear one thing up. The Farm Fresh market is located on the old sanitarium site . . . as opposed to the Tranquille Farm sign just past the golf course.
The project manager has gone through the city to request permission to post signs, but has been turned down unless they are on their own property.
The corn maze that was so well received last year is further on down the road past the one posted just past the golf course.
It is well worth the drive to go the extra mile(s) past the golf course.
The corn maze is scheduled to open mid-September.
Tranquille On The Lake is a wonderful place to spend time during the weekend, buy organic products, check out their plans for future development, have a picnic, take a historic tour, listen to music; play a game of Scrabble on the giant outdoor game, visit the ecological reserve, go for a bike ride or take a tour of the infamous underground
You can check their website for special events. I urge you to support this amazing
