Salmon Arm police are looking for someone who thought it would be fun to create a head-on crash.
Just after midnight on Wednesday, officers found pylons had been moved in a construction zone in way that could have caused an accident.
The cones were arranged so that westbound traffic was directed into the eastbound lane. Police had to set them right.
"This is a very serious matter and police are appealing to the public to identify the person involved," Kevin Keane of the Salmon RCMP said.
Soon afterward, officers caught up with a driver speeding through the area. The driver was issued a ticket and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
