New Life Mission is in desperate need of warehouse space to hold inventory from its Thrift City store while repairs are made from a fire and vandalism.
A fire early Monday morning destroyed the loading area in the back of the Seymour Street store and caused smoke damage to much of the rest of the building.
The next day, the plate glass window in the front was smashed.
New Life Mission is holding a fire sale Tuesday and Wednesday to reduce inventory, then move the rest so the store can be repaired and repainted.
The missing piece in the plan is warehouse space. Anyone who can help is asked to call executive director Stan Dueck at 250-372-9898 or Regan Wilson at 250-319-2300.
