Changes to the Canada Health Accord will mean $137 million less in health-care funding for the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo region, according to the Hospital Employees Union.
The union and the Council of Canadians are holding a town hall to discuss the state of medicare on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Parkside Lounge.
Speakers will include HEU financial secretary Donisa Bernardo, B.C. Health Coalition chairman Rick Turner, PharmaWatch president Colleen Fuller and B.C. NDP critic for health Judy Darcy.
