Having gone through much the same as the Oct. 3 letter writer, when our family doctor gave up her practice, we also believed that we would be without a doctor as well.
Fortunately another doctor did come in and take over the practice and the patients.
It makes much more sense for a doctor to acquire a practice this way due to the built in client base. Obviously the writer’s doctor has a different opinion of this issue and may very well had difficulty in selling the practice.
I am not saying that didn’t happen. My letter is to point out that different things happen for whatever reasons. We were lucky in our case.
