A Pink fan, Katherine Richards is tickled pink she answered the invitation to join a fundraising contest on the weekend at Kamloops Dodge.
The dealership painted an old minivan pink and invited participants to smash away with a sledgehammer, for a donation, of course. A draw offered tickets and accommodation for a Vancouver concert by the artist Pink.
Richards donated to the cause, breast cancer research and support, so that an international student she's hosting and her daughter, Isabela, could try their hand.
"What's going to be your strategy," asked Rudy Chase, a River FM DJ who was on location.
"I'm supporting the fight against cancer and to show that little people have muscles," Isabela declared.
And with that she continued the demolition job, showing that pink isn't just some cute colour, but a powerful fundraising idea.
To top it off, mom took home the prize.
"That got the blip on my radar, just those tickets," Katherine said. "I love her. That's why I put my name in."
