Fire destroyed a shed on the side of a trailer at Woodland Trailer Park at about 10 p.m. Wednesday.
The flames were high enough to melt a power line and cut off power to the homes on Albert Street.
"We heard popping noises . . . then there were people screaming and everything," neighbour Marie Cuthbert said.
"I looked out the side window — the flames were shooting up there, probably five to 10 feet from what I could see," said Brent Jones, her son.
The fire appeared to be coming toward their trailer so they grabbed a garden hose. But firefighters quickly had the blaze under control.
Denise Hansen also said she heard popping.
"I could smell it and I knew right away what it was. The whole thing was on fire."
She got her mother out of bed and took her to her sister's place.
"I could feel the heat, so it was pretty intense."
