The Kamloops Storm (9-3-0-0) shut out the 100 Mile House Wranglers (5-7-0-1) by a score of 6-0 in Kootenay International Ice Hockey League Action on Friday Night.
The game remained scoreless until the second period when Max James netted a goal on the power play just less than a minute into the frame. Felix Larouche shortly followed with a goal of his own, on an assist from Larouche, on a power play five minutes later. Before the period came to a close, co-captain Brock Balson scored Kamloops' third goal of the game on goaltender Nathan Warren, with Josh Rasmussen and Bobby Kashuba picking up the assists.
The period ended with the Storm leading 3-0.
In the third, Brett Watkinson picked up a goal on an assist from Matt Dimor, before Max James added his second of the night with just more than seven minutes remaining in the game.
James finished off his night with a third goal, on the power play, with 48 seconds remaining in the game; Felix Larouche and co-captain Luke Gordon picked up the assists.
Kyle Michalovsky went the distance in goal for Kamloops to pick up the victory.
Kamloops remains the top team in its division, six points ahead of the second place Sicamous Eagles.
Kamloops returns to the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre on Sunday, 5 p.m., to face the Chase Heat (5-5-0-1). Chase plays host to Summerland tonight, 7 p.m. at Art Holding Memorial Arena,
