A logging truck wound up on its side Wednesday at about 9:30 a.m. after failing to make the turn on the Squilax-Anglemont road turnoff from the Trans-Canada Highway near Chase.
The trucker reported that two tires on the trailer blew out just before the accident, Chase RCMP Cpl. Mark Skotnicki said.
"Blown tires plus hairpin turn equals truck on side."
Inspectors were looking at whether speed was also a factor, he said.
The driver was not injured.
The truck blocked one lane of traffic. The logs were bundled so they did not scatter.
