Two public sessions for public input on the City's budget take place Tuesday and next Monday.
During the sessions, City Hall staff give an overview of the budget, then listen to comments and suggestions. A workshop format is designed to encourage conversation.
The focus this year is on service levels, such as how often garbage is picked up, how often sports fields are maintained, hours of operation at City facilities, and utilities management.
You can also follow along and contribute via the Twitter hashtag #kamloopsbudget. Budget documents are available at www.kamloops.ca/2014budget.
Input from the sessions will be presented to City council on Nov. 26.
The sessions take place Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Parkside Lounge and Monday, Nov. 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. at McArthur Island Sports Centre.
