The South Kamloops Titans need a victory and some help today if they want any chance of winning the provincial AAA boys soccer championship in Burnaby.
The Titans split their opening games at provincials, losing 2-0 to the Victoria-Reynolds Roadrunners before beating the Cranbrook-Mount Baker Wild 2-0. South Kam is scheduled to play the Surrey-Panorama Ridge Thunder today.
The Thunder and Roadrunners played to a 1-1 draw Thursday, leaving both squads 1-0-1. South Kam, at 1-1-0, will need to beat the Thunder and hope the Wild (0-2-0) upsets the Roadrunners today.
If that happens, the Titans will move into the semifinal round, which will feature the top team from each of the four-team pools. The semifinals and consolation games are scheduled for this afternoon, with the medal matches and placement games to wrap up the tournament Saturday.
