Michelle Bos, who led the Surrey-Holy Cross Crusaders to the provincial AA title at the Tournament Capital Centre in March, has signed on to play for the TRU WolfPack women’s basketball team.
Bos, listed as a 5-foot-10 guard, was named tournament MVP as the Crusaders dominated their way to the provincial title. Bos had 16 points and 14 points in the championship final, a 69-37 victory over the Vernon Panthers.
She had an excellent tournament, averaging 16.5 points per game to go along with eight rebounds and 5.5 assists. She also was strong defensively, helping Holy Cross hold its opposition to fewer than 40 points in each of its four games.
“She’s sprouted up — she might be 5-foot-11 or 6-foot-0 right now,” TRU head coach Scott
Reeves said Wednesday. “She has a great skill-set, incredible work ethic and is the type of person and student we want to recruit.”
Bos has been a member of the provincial under-17 team for the past two seasons, and helped B.C. to a silver medal at the 2013 Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke in August.
Bos plans to study nursing at TRU.
