Skiers and commuters boost November airport numbers

Commuting workers and early snow at Sun Peaks Resort drove up the number of travellers at Kamloops Airport by seven per cent in November.

In November 2013, there were 24,170 travellers using the airport. That compares with 22,445 in November 2012.

So far this year, 260,373 people have gone through the airport — a four per cent increase over 2012.

Workers are commuting to northern Alberta and B.C. while maintaining a home in Kamloops.
