Holdout gave in under threats

Well this will be the last time I write because I’m one of the 66,000 holdouts that gave in under threats about the $35 service charge in the form of letters from B.C. Hydro.

I was sent no less than four “deadline is coming” letters, that it would come into effect Dec. 1, starting in October. So I filled out the form accepting the meter.

The provincial government approved the $35 meter reading, which is legally a rate increase.

Now, I get a letter from B.C. Hydro thanking me for making the right choice.

Hydro states to me in another letter that if there is any problem with the contractor installing the meter, I will be charged with a failed installation fee.

Thanks, Christy, it’s all about families and jobs, right ?
