With all the talk of door-to-door mail delivery soon to go the way of the dodo, I think someone should give credit to another delivery person who is often forgotten about: the newspaper carrier.
Sure, paper delivery is not what it once was, but the carriers are still out every morning.
Whether it’s a youngster earning his first paycheque or a retiree keeping busy or anything in-between, these folks are out in every type of weather, be it rain, snow or otherwise.
They deliver straight to your door before most of us have even gotten woken up.
If you get home delivery, then this Christmas, take a moment to remember your carrier, and thank them for their fine work.
