No bail after weapons allegation

A man accused of pulling an imitation gun after a failed break and enter early Friday morning was denied bail Monday.

Blake Bernhard is charged with break and enter, uttering threats, breach of probation and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He is scheduled to enter a plea to the charges in the new year.

RCMP allege Bernhard smashed two windows in a home in the 700-block of Columbia Street. After being confronted, police said Bernhard retreated to the street and pulled an imitation handgun from a knapsack, pointing it and fleeing.

Police arrested Bernhard in a taxi nearby, also finding an imitation gun.
