Police investigating after the discovery of human remains by shoreline

STRATHROY CARADOC, Ont. - The discovery of human remains along the shoreline of a river in southwestern Ontario has provincial police investigating.

Sgt. Mark Campbell from the Strathroy Caradoc police services says a person was out walking by the Thames River when they came across the remains and called local authorities.

The cause of death is unknown, but the remains have been sent to the London Health Sciences Centre for a forensic examination.

Provincial police are assisting the local police with the investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact authorities.
