Driving bans of 88 and 44 years doesn't stop bikers caught on stolen motorcycles

LANGLEY, B.C. - Being banned from driving for the next 88 years hasn't stopped one B.C. man from hitting the road.

The same is true for his pal, who'd been slapped with a 44-year driving ban.

The RCMP say the two were caught riding stolen motorcycles in Langley, B.C., on Tuesday and immediately arrested.

Sgt. Gord Elias says members of a specialized police auto crime unit spotted the pair on the Trans-Canada Highway east of Vancouver and tailed them to a gas station where they appeared to be selling drugs to a third person.

The men, aged 37 and 46 and both from the Metro Vancouver area, are now facing drug charges along with charges of possessing stolen property and driving while prohibited.

Elias says both men have long lists of convictions for driving infractions, with one being banned from driving until 2056, while the other is banned until the year 2100.
