    Most actively traded companies on the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange markets

    TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

    Toronto Stock Exchange (11,634.67, down 25.28 points):

    Progress Energy Resources Corp. (TSX:PRQ). Oil and gas. Up five cents, or 0.25 per cent, at $20.14 on 5,192,687 shares. Malaysia's state-owned oil and gas company Petronas signed a friendly deal last month to buy Progress for $5.5 billion or $20.45 per share.

    Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ). Oil and gas. Down 26 cents, or 0.98 per cent, at $26.31 on 4,211,146 shares.

    Orezone Gold Corp. (TSX:ORE). Miner. Up 10 cents, or 7.69 per cent, at $1.40 on 3,712,442 shares.

    Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation equipment. Down one cent, or 0.25 per cent, at $4.03 on 3,545,925 shares. Bombardier Inc. received a conditional order Sunday valued at about $1 billion for 15 of the new C-Series aircraft .

    Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. Down 20 cents, or 0.68 per cent, at $29.16 on 3,331,965 shares.

    Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:BNK). Oil and gas. Down eight cents, or 3.08 per cent, at $2.52 on 3,326,464 shares.

    TSX Venture Exchange (1,211.98 up 0.62 of a point):

    Poynt Corp. (TSXV:PYN). Internet service provider. Up two cents, or 200 per cent, at three cents on 6,250,057 shares. Poynt filed a notice of bankruptcy protection with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy last week.

    Roxgold Inc. (TSXV:ROG). Miner. Up 19 cents, or 33.93 per cent, at 75 cents on 3,702,502 shares.

    Companies reporting major news:

    Research In Motion Ltd. (TSX:RIM). Consumer technology. Down 42 cents, or 5.11 per cent, at $7.80 on 2,751,630 shares. Shareholders of RIM, are expected to take a far more critical view of the embattled company at its annual meeting on Tuesday.

    SNC-Lavalin (TSX:SNC). Engineering. Up 20 cents, or 0.52 per cent, at $38.41 on 179,017 shares. About 800 nuclear scientists, engineers and technologists at SNC's Candu Energy subsidiary went on strike Monday after negotiators failed to reach a contract before the strike deadline.
