Coroner identifies man who died in snowmobile crash

A man who died in a snowmobile crash near Clearwater on Feb. 17 was identified by the B.C. Coroners Service Wednesday as Kelvin Victor Bell, 50, of Hardisty, Alta.

Bell was one of a group of people who spent the day snowmobiling in a mountainous area northwest of Clearwater. While heading down the mountain in the late afternoon, he lost control of his vehicle and hit a large tree.

He died at the scene.
