Eco-depots in Clearwater and Louis Creek have been open a month and the Thompson-Nicola Regional District is reporting a positive response from the public.
A common theme in comments overheard by site attendants and regional-district staff is the recycling and disposal options are convenient and easy to use, a TNRD press release said Tuesday.
To coincide with the opening of the eco-depots throughout the regional district, a new solid-waste management bylaw will be introduced. It will describe what material can no longer be included in residents' garbage.
Detailed descriptions and instructions will be mailed out to all residents and businesses and posted in local newspapers during the coming weeks.
