Students at Bert Edwards elementary school have taken steps toward reversing climate change and they hope it will lead to $10,000 for more green initiatives.

Bert Edwards students from grades 4 to 7 are featured in a video by the Kamloops chapter of the B.C. Sustainable Energy Association, which has been selected in B.C. Hydro's Community Champions competition.

Now it's up to viewers to propel it into the winner's circle by voting for it daily.

The video includes interviews with the students over the impact of the Climate Change Showdown, a BCSEA provincial program that delivers climate change education to elementary students around the province.
