The TRU WolfPack women's basketball team has signed its third recruit for the 2011-12 Canada West season.
Head coach Scott Reeves announced Wednesday that Jade Montgomery-Waardenburg has signed a letter of intent.

Montgomery-Waardenburg is a guard out of the Kelowna Owls program, and will join Sa-Hali Sabres' guard Taiysa Worsfold and forward Dana Clarkson of the Vanderhoof-Nechako Valley Viqueens as rookies on next season's squad.

Montgomery-Waardenburg shot 55 per cent from the field last season, averaging 14.3 points per game in helping the Owls to a second-place Okanagan finish.

"I think I (can) really produce for the team," Montgomery-Waardenburg said in a press release. "I play really hard and am a team player, not only on the court but also getting involved (in) the community as well."

Montgomery-Waardenburg was an Okanagan all-star last season, and also won back-to-back Junior All-Native Tournament championships (JANT) in 2010 and 2011.
