My wife recently suffered a heart attack at home. Our call to 911 resulted in an immediate response from paramedic teams and Kamloops Fire and Rescue.
They stabilized her condition and quickly transported her to RIH. At the RIH trauma room a doctor and nurse tame quickly administered anti-clotting medication and x-rays were taken. It was determined that she should be taken to Kelowna by air ambulance.
A new team of paramedics accompanied her to Kelowna where surgeons operated shortly after her arrival and implanted a stent.
Thanks to the swift and professional treatment and care of everyone involved, my wife is looking towards full recovery. Our thanks to everyone.
