A pageant queen and a former madam are making a stop in Kamloops this month to talk about an end to modern-day slavery.

Miss Canada 2011 Tara Teng and author/activist Tania Fiolleau are on a speaking tour entitled Ignite the Road to Justice, which aims to raise awareness of human trafficking and exploitation.

Fiolleau is the author of Souled Out!, a book detailing her former life in prostitution and as a madam. She is now an advocate for raising awareness on prostitution, human trafficking and the sex trade.

Both women will be the main speakers at Calvary Community Church on Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 7 to 9 p.m.
