No chance to say goodbye to wharf

In response to the recent attention regarding the dismantling of the Chase wharf.

I am one of the Dunn girls who spent many hours during my teen years at the Chase wharf lifeguarding and teaching swimming.

As a modern society we tend to forget that buildings are important to people because we each have wonderful memories attached to them.

An opportunity to say farewell to the old wharf was sadly missed, however, I am happy that there will be a new and improved version and hope this location will continue to create wonderful memories to current Chase and district citizens, and to new visitors who come to enjoy our beautiful community.
