A Kamloops man facing charges in connection with a fatal pedestrian accident appeared in provincial court on Monday on four separate driving-related charges.

Don Isadore, 62, is charged with two counts of driving while prohibited, including driving without a licence, and two counts of operating a motor vehicle while disqualified in addition to charges arising from a fatal accident on Nov. 21, 2012.

The case was adjourned until March 11.

Valerie Brook, 67, was fatally struck in the crosswalk at Sixth Avenue and Victoria Street. Isadore already had a two-year driving suspension and a 30-day jail sentence he was serving on weekends. He was given that sentence on Nov. 2, 2012.

These latest charges stem from a tip police received seven weeks later from someone at Lake City Casino, half a block from where Brook was killed.
