The Kamloops Community Band will be performing a benefit concert for the Canadian Diabetes Association.
It takes place at 7:30 pm in the Alliance Church, 233 Fortune Dr. Tickets are $15 per person, $10 for seniors and children ages 5 to 12, and free for children under 5, and are available from any band member, or at the door. There will be a reception of diabetic friendly hors d’oveurs. Proceeds go to the Canadian Diabetes Association, in honour of the late Dick Dickens, the founding music director of the Kamloops Community Band.
All ages are welcome to come lawn bowling at McArthur Island. No equipment is required, comfortable clothes and flat soled shoes are recommended. Community Seedy Saving Garden-McDonald Park is looking for heritage (nonhybrid) seeds that have been grown and saved locally Specifically tomatoes, peppers, pees, beans, & lettuce. Next year the seeds will be distributed to gardeners in the community. Please call Leslie 250-828-2321 by June 16.
