Join us Friday, February 15th for the opening reception of the 3rd Annual Juried Art Show & Sale. Enjoy a fabulous evening bursting with beautiful local artwork, delicious treats and the opportunity to meet the artists behind the work - a soirée not to be missed!
Looking for that special piece of art to showcase in your home? The majority of artwork being exhibited at the Juried Art Show & Sale is AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE; Visa, Mastercard and debit accepted. With prices starting at $40, there is a wonderful piece of art to match any budget!
The KAC Juried Art Show runs Feb. 16 to 24, 2013 at the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre, daily from 10am to 5pm. Admission is by donation.
This year's Juried Show features more than 65 local-area artists, including two youth artists under 13: Elena Compton and Emily Earl. Over 100 works of art -- in painting, drawing, fibre art, carving, clay, photography, glass and more -- will be on display and for sale. The Juried Art Show & Sale also features the People's Choice Award ~ vote for your favourite piece!
AWARDS: $600 in cash prizes will be awarded by the jurors on Opening Night.
First Place: $300 | Second Place: $200 | Third Place: $100
People's Choice Award: $100 | PLUS Honourable Mentions

Venue: Afternoon Auxiliry to RIH
The Afternoon Auxiliary is looking for Volunteers to join their organization. If you enjoy working with people, have experience handling cash, like to organize or fix electronics and other household items, we are interested in having you connect with us. Applications can be picked up at the Thrift Seller, 146 Victoria St. or at the Gift Shop, 2nd floor RIH. Meetings are help first monday of the month at Calavry Temple on Hugh Allen. We look forward to hearing from you.
